Taken from "Caddyshack" and "Wolfen." Now this logo is much different from the usual Orion Pictures starry sky logo as this has the 1980 Orion Pictures jingle of what I like to call   more...the "Man-Woman Duo Singing" which sounds eerie (bordering on creepy, and user I got this from says it sounds calming which I'm thinking "WTF?"). Also, it has the typical WB \\' trademark instead of the shield with the communications bug. Expect to see the 1981 & 1996 Orion Pictures logos soon. Enjoy!!  less

The crisp image reveals a tapestry of star formation, from the dense pillars of gas and dust that may be the homes of fledgling stars to the hot, young, massive stars that have emerged from their gas-and-dust cocoons and are shaping the nebula with their powerful ultraviolet light.

The new picture reveals large-scale structures never seen before, according to C. Robert O'Dell of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, USA "Only with the Hubble Space Telescope can we begin to understand them," ODell said.

This sequence zooms on three ground-based images and ends up with the new Hubble image of the Orion Nebula M42.

This is a variant of the 1982-1996 Orion Logo (the most famous one - the "Starry Sky"), with the "Thru Warner Bros. - A Warner Communications Company" byline. This was from "Caddyshack,"   more...and I think my parents taped this in 1988 or 1989. We've since gotten this on DVD, and it is well preserved on the DVD.

Fun fact - this is not the original logo used before "Caddyshack" - there was a combination Warner/Orion logo from 1979-1982 that was used for this movie involving orange and blue squares. I'd like to think this was the ONLY logo Orion had, because it was so nice. the intro of the "Caddyshack" theme plays under it, and sounds so peaceful.  less

This is from a 1989 or 1990 taping of "Mac and Me" (why?!) from Showtime. I like this intro alot. The Orion logo is the 1982-1996 starry sky with the theme from this movie playing under it.   more...Like the "Caddyshack" version, it is nice and pleasant. Enjoy the music.  less
