On the night of recording this (Friday 18th of July 2008) I had been playing about making stuff up at random for a couple of hours when I finally decided to record myself. I had only intended to record   more...for a few minutes, but before I realized it I had recorded a full tape (60 minutes). In these videos I've edited the 60 minute video down into 4 short videos where I believe the most interesting sounds can be found.

I took piano lessons for a year some 5 years ago, but then got too busy to continue because of school. I carried on playing about with the piano every now and then making up stuff at random as a way to relax. Up until the time of making these videos I had never recorded myself playing.

In present time, it's a bit more 'fancy'.In this video I'll give you a few tips on how to store your musical ideas, whether they be riffs, melodies, chord progressions, full-blown compositions or even just textual ideas. I show you what I've done personally and what works best for me, though there's really no right way to go about this. Whichever way benefits you most is the way to go.Saving these things is EXTREMELY important and I wholeheartedly recommend to begin doing this NOW if you're not already. We've all had those times when we've written something and wished that we would have recorded it in time to remember it for future use.
