It may not be much, but this is the most snow we have had in a long time. I just had to take a couple pictures of it. I was tired of seeing rain all the time.

It's so fun I saw so many snow men that day.

Snow day

So here is the snow. I wanted to get this up sooner but I am recovering from having to try and dig my car out (with the brush for my car) when I got stuck on a snowbank... ON an snowbank.

Long story short,   more...some very nice men from my co-op insisted on digging me out and spent 20 minutes digging the snow out from under my car (I actually felt it drop to the ground!). Anyone who tells me that the immigrants who come to this country are only out for themselves can stick it... All three men are part of the wonderful Muslim community that lives in the co-op and is always front and centre when it comes to helping their neighbours.  less

Snow Texas March...
The date this was filmed was March 6th 2008. I later found out that the last time it snowed here on this date was a trace amount in 1924 (that is what I heard on Television.) Enjoy

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the camera and then get the window open in time to catch the really spectacularly loud peal of thunder. However, at the very beginning, you can hear the low rumble   more...of the second (and last) peal of thunder.

I have been hoping for YEARS to catch this on video. Sorry it isn't better...

It sounds like it is raining but after checking with someone who was outside at the time, I found it wasn't. It was just the wind in the trees and some very heavy flakes that made it sound like rain.

Moments later, the snow started coming down thicker and faster.  less
