This is a 35mm practice i did white studying cinematography. The goal of the practice was to provoque the nostalgia feeling in the spectator.

a cup is just a cup
it's made of the earth
and how you know it's real
you touch it, you feel
the cup is always here
it's not in the past
it's not a memory

but when we take   more...our memories
and we project them on the cup
we believe it to be special
but we made it all up

when we decide the cup is special
that cup we fear to lose
we cry when it breaks
now why would we choose

to take a thing that's real
and try to make it what it's not
we give it a meaning
that's only in a thought

I let go of the past
I look at the cup
the cup is in my hands
and that is enough
it's no longer special
it's here for me to use
I don't cry if it breaks
no specialness to lose
