Zhongshan, originally named "Yongfeng", was a Chinese warship later renamed after Dr. Sun Yat-sen in 1925, the great forerunner of the Chinese Democratic Revolution.
The warship was involved   more...in the battle of Wuhan in the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945). It was bombed and sunk in the Yangtze River by Japanese invaders on October 24, 1938.

En la actualidad, esta unidad de infantería de marina, es la encargada de custodiar Palacio de Gobierno del Perú, en forma alternada con otras unidades históricas de las Fuerzas Armadas del Perú. Además, hace el cambio de guardia presidencial en el patio de honor de Palacio de Gobierno en la plaza mayor de Lima.

En la película, haciendo alegorías en la plaza Gran Almirante del Perú Miguel Grau Seminario, en el Callao, con motivo del 128ª Aniversario del combate naval de Angamos del 8 de octubre de 1879, en donde se inmoló el Gran Almirante y el BAP "Huáscar" fue capturado por toda la escuadra chilena cuando ya tenía 1,20 metros de agua en sus fondos.

Este sólo buque de la Marina de Guerra del Perú, tuvo en jaque a toda la escuadra chilena durante 6 meses y tres días (desde el 5 de abril hasta el 8 de octubre de 1879), provocó pánico en las costas chilenas, obligó a renunciar al contralmirante chileno Juan Williams Rebvolledo y provocó una crísis en el gobierno de Santiago de Chile.  less
