In this video I talk about my impressions from the first week at the Army. Everything is okay so far.

I scored Gold for the G36 exercise "S-9" and Bronze for the P1 exercise S-3 (I think :P). One of my group members got arrested in the middle of the night after I had finished my fire watch.

2 tough weeks (4 days inside and 4 days outside) of biviouac. We went shooting every day and had a watch/guard/patrol training at the weekend.

Today is the last day of the first out of three months of basic training in the Army. We did a 30 minute run where I was in second place but I "injured" my knee a bit more with doing that. So   more...I was released of sport activities and marching for this week. We had our Field Medic Assistant Training and wrote our tests on thursday. Two comrades of mine had a car accident last sunday. They are okay now but one of them had to stay in the hospital for nearly 2 days.  less

In the second part I talk about our first and second shooting exercise in the AGSHP, a shooting simulator with real gun models and recoil etc. I shortly talk about what's coming up next week.

In this video I summarize week 3 and 4. We had a lot of drill exercises with our standard weapon (the G36) and additionally with the Machinegun MG3 and the side arm P1. We also had our first radio operator   more...training with the SEM 52 SL. At the beginning of the week we had our PFT (Physical Fitness Test) which was a bit tough though. It's elements were pretty much the same things I will have to do for the Federal Police's sport test.  less

This is my last evening I'll spend at home for the next 1 1/2 week. I wil be able to return home for the weekends, so it shouldn't be that hard for me. Tomorrow will be my first official day in the Army   more...and I think I'm prepared :P  less

I received a letter from the Company Chief. He asured us that we shouldn't be worried about serving in the Army and we can call a number to ask questions regarding our service.

This was my first time on a Go-Kart ever. At the beginning I was trying to figure out how the Kart behaves and how fast I could go. I'm going a bit faster around 04:00 I think. We had a 10 minute break   more...and then we drove a second race where I was much more aggressive and took the corners better and faster. I was actually 4 seconds faster than my previous time.  less
