This model airplane has some serious power and speed behind it!

Two maiden flights on a Bobat Composite RC jet model airplane. The engine is a JetCat p-120 producing over 27lbs of thrust. Several of the passes were clocked at around 250 mph, and since this video was   more...shot, it's gone over 300mph with a 36lbs thrust JetCentral Rhino turbine jet engine. For those curious, this plane has sustained over 30 Gs repeatedly. On one occasion the owner pulled over 50 which actually caused stress cracks in the wings ( already fixed and reinforced with carbon fiber laminate) This is the ultimate RC airplane. This was November 26, 2006. We just took out the hitec 5925 servos out of the ailerons (they were too weak, didn't fully deflect) and put in JR 8611a's to get full throw, now it rolls really fast!   more...haha.  less

4D Flying with an Ikarus Variable Pitch Prop setup...
Nose down torque rolls anyone?
(you need an outrunner motor with a hollow shatf) that has a conrtol rod
runing through it so you can control the prop:P
  more...The blade on the prop change pitch while the prop spins at constant
speed... instead of being something like 10x4, they change to 10x-4.
The negitive pitch produces thrust the oposite direction.
i.e. 4D - mean's the plane is capable of flying backwards :)
Lol..ok it's called 4D not because it travels through time (obviously) but
becasue it is able to stand still in mid air...giving the apperance of time
standing still. Not my name for it...  less
