The Just Like My Child Foundation has secured a $150,000 CD4 cell count analyzer, an ambulance and doctor to treat those in need. The Colour of Hope is a British Charity, whose objectives are to reduce poverty, promote employment and advance education amongst disadvantaged people in Peru. Our current priority is to support young   more...people leaving care homes in and around the capital, Lima. The majority of these young people have previously been street children, suffering from abuse, extreme poverty and drug addiction. They have little hope for the future – once they leave their care homes, most of them end up back on the streets. But the work we are doing is beginning to change this sad fact. Our young people’s project, “Action for Independence”, provides all the financial, social, emotional and psychological support the young people need to integrate themselves into their society and to find dignified employment. It gives them a way forward, a chance for change.
