Tribute to Mai and Zuko. At first I didn't really like this couple. I think Zuko said it best, "You're just a big blah!" but as season 3 progressed they started to grow on me, then after the   more...Boiling Rock I had a change of heart. I like Mai a lot now I mean she sacrificed her freedom for Zuko so come on people, big blahs don't do that.I still like Zutara but either outcome is fine by me :)
p.s. to my zutara fans please don't hate and trust me I never thought I would make a Maiko tribute lol I just couldn't find many Maiko vids that I liked

After about five different songs and a ton of other vids, I've finally managed to produce something DECENT in the Mai x Zuko ship. I can't help feeling like I've broken some sacred rule or something,   more...though....it's fun and easy to draw Maizu pictures, but incredibly difficult/nigh impossible to make a vid about them. They just haven't had their chance to shine yet. Conversely, Kataang vids are easy enough, but have you ever tried thinking up an absurdly cute situation for those two to make a fanpic out of? I've got about two ideas....

Anyway, on-topic, the reason why this is so short is two-fold. One reason is because there aren't enough clips. The other one is that this is just a demo of the song--I haven't purchased the album yet, and I've promised myself that, having stolen all of the rest of her songs, I'll at least buy ONE Avril album. But that'll have to wait a few months. The song worked well for the ship, though, and I couldn't miss the potential of having limited clips AND limited song, so....here it is.

It fits Mai and Zuko's relationship well enough, I think....a lot of Mai is defined by the absence of Zuko, or at least, that's what I like to believe. I don't intend to get any converts out of this video or anything, but I hope that some people will enjoy it. And I wanted to get SOMETHING with those two out there.

And forgive the pixel-y parts, those are courtesy of the expired program which I downloaded a trial run of....it's still useful, but low-quality. I might buy the full version, but I really can't blow all of my spending money like that.

This is one of those shipping themes   more...videos. I decided to make one...it took me a long time, but I'm more than satisfied with the results. Maizu was probably my biggest disappointment....I'm fond of that ship, but I found that it is difficult to find clips for that. Thus, practically the entire segment wound up in slow-motion....ah, well. Taang seemed to focus a bit too much on the Blind Bandit ep, and all throughout, my lip-synching was down a bit from the usual. But I'm still happy with it!

So, this is probably my new record for "fastest song to be used in a muic vid after I first heard it." The reason being that I had   more...the sudden urge to make a Maiko AMV, so, rather than listening to a song and getting the inspiration, I hunted straight for it myself. The result was a song that I'd never heard before but that applied not only to Maiko, but also to Iroh and Ursa's relationships with Zuko.

It was much better in my head....

I listened to it for the first time yesterday....not even thirty hours ago, actually. It took me about eight hours to make this thing--Windows Movie Maker is back to its old crashing habits, but I got through decently. A little more effects-using than the Kataang vid I made recently, but I still think it fits the "defining" trait.

The Mai section was the hardest to make, but it was fun. I played around some....the Iroh section pretty much wrote itself, but unfortunately made for something of a lack of Iroh....and the Ursa section, well, it's something of a blend. A final verse....

Just enjoy. :)

I enjoyed making. Thank goodness for Simba/Nala AMVs! Their theme is similar enough to Maiko that the songs line up...SO....yeah.
