People have asked about my bike, so here it is. Shows off the camera mount I've used for a few vids as well. And when I talk about killing the battery, I meant the cameras battery. Using it while plugged   more...in can destroy a batteries running life, and I can currently only get about 15 minutes before it dies.  less

Words alone cannot describe, or explain this one. So just bear with me for a few minutes. :)

Learned something new about my bike in this one. If this doesn't demonstrate pretty clearly how useful the rear brake is, well, you're just not paying attention.

Decided to go out and spend a few minutes messing around in a parking lot. Did a few full-lock low speed revolutions around a streetlight, and a few emergency stops. The first two were done from approx.   more...35mph, the first without the rear brake, the second with. The second stop was approximately 20 feet shorter than the first. The third was done from almost 55mph. There's a surprise fuckup in there too.  less

Going on about a few different things that have gotten under my skin lately...

The start of the ride during which I went down, and a bit of rambling about my new camera mount, among other things.

I'm getting older, and with that rite of passage, there's a distinct need to change some things about my life.

Or atleast, those I consider friends, will understand this. Basically, this is who I am, and why I say the things I say and do the things I do. Don't like it? Deal with it.

Ok, so its not NEW, just different. The slot in the pipe is my fault, trying to take a shortcut and rush things. The motor oil under the drill was used as coolant. If you're cutting metal with metal,   more...coolants are a good thing, just learn to ignore the smoke if you use something like motor oil.  less

This one is...different. Starts out all calm and the like, then a cager tries to kill me and things go kinda south from there...

It's not the hardest section of road out here, but its one of the most fun. I think its 12 turns in a mile....

Some people have asked, and so I abide. This is what it looks like from my perspective when I do them, as well as some discussion of how to do them, what to do and what not to do. Keeping a big bike balanced   more...in a 10ft diameter circle at 3-5mph is a pain in the @$$. So now you should know what to do and how to do it. Edit: When I speak of throttling out of the turns, accelerating itself also acts to straighten the bike out, which aids ALOT on getting that 600 pound beast to stand back up.  less

"Six" - All that remains. Damn good song, if you don't like it initially, give it a minute or two, it changes pretty drastically at the 2:00 mark. 30 seconds later is what equates to the perfect   more...curve, for me.  less

This one you're either going to love, or hate. There usually isn't any middle ground. Wait for the horn beep, then back up 10 seconds and watch the right hand edge of the road.
