Xcorps Action Sports Show #45.)"SKATEPIPE"-seg2- The Xcorps HD shoot crew led by on host Jason Lazo rolled into the small southern California town of Upland to meet pool skate legend Steve Alba   more...AKA Salba at the Pipeline skate park- home and roots to some of the best Vert skaters on the planet- for the next episode of Xcorps to be called SKATEPIPE.

This next XC show will feature Steve Alba ripping the Upland Pipe on his board along with many other talented locals catching massive air off the 20-foot tall 360-degree concrete tube. The Pipe is part of 10,000 sq. foot Skate Park, which opened to the public in 2002 and was designed by Steve Alba and California Skate parks Purkiss Rose.

One of the coolest skate zones we have shot, the Upland park is a holy zone modeled after the original Upland skate park of the 1970s-which was modeled after the original Baldy Flood Control Pipe- and contains all aspects of bank/vert skating starting with a mini-ramp take off ledge rolling into a phat metal coped half-pipe leading into a 20 foot full-pipe and ending in a deep swimming pool size vert bowl. YiKes!

Its a smooth fast speed zone and its not for beginners! Skate wheels sing there like banshee devil dogs and bone crunching freefalls happen easy! Xcorps cams captured some great action including shots from a POV cam attached to Salbas helmet. The Xcorps shoot crew-included network Emmy winner Dave Alvarez and producer Sundarajan also snagging HD shot action.

Xcorps host Jason Lazo talked with Steve Alba who lives in Upland about the killer park he helped design and his past and present career in the world of skateboarding. Jason also spoke to other skaters including a hot chick looping the tube and some ripper groms going full overhead! What will they morph into!??

Also in this episode is cool video footage of Steve Alba jamming with his band in a local So Cal club. Nice custom soundtrack to the action from Steve. Great new music videos from RIVE promotions and Suburban Noize Records rolls the action in this special Xcorps show.

Rounding out the shots in this episode will be some never before televised 16mm B&W film footage shot at a Pocatello Idaho Skatepark in 1980 by XC producer Stu Edmondson. Who knew they were skating in Idaho back then never mind a skate park!

Xcorps Action Sports Show #15.)"RAT"-seg.4- This Xcorps episode runs fast hot and just inches off the pavement with guest host and gold medal street luger Rat Sult taking our cameras to his   more...secret training hill and a tour of his X toy filled garage all pumped hard with new music and videos from Rive Video Productions.
Guest host Rat Sult who is known in the industry as a bad assed nice guy has some fun as an Xcorps host giving details on subjects such as his protective leathers and how to roll without burning on a high-speed slide. Great shots here with Rat screaming by the cameras at close to 60 MPH on the rural So Cal hairpins. See dust fly as he cuts it too close and hits the rock wall.! New hip hop vid from the band WildChild doing their song WonderYears rolls this action.
After the break Rat returns with some shots from his luge gold medal wins in the X and Gravity Games and a thro to a pimpin huge video from our pals at RIVE and SPV Records with the band Monster Magnet rolling out their song Unbroken Hotel Baby. Interview with band member Dave Windorf after the video. What an icon!
Then the luge street action returns from the serpentine hills 30 miles north of San Diego with Rat and some adrenalized POV on board shots pushed by the angst and darkness of RoadRunner Records band SlipKnot letting loose out of control scenes from their new video Duality. This band set some new standards for sure.
After the dark there comes the light with Rat introducing the band Nickelback and their new video Feeling Way too Damn Good. Nice film production and effects quality here. Feeling good tune. Then
Rat picks up more speed on his billet aluminum street luge and rolls the cameras this time to his house in Temecula Ca and a look at the fun sports toys he keeps in his garage. Xcorps Action Sports Show #12.)"LUGE"-segs.1and2- Xcorps cameras were the only ones rolling at a grassroots guerilla style gravity sports event we call The Barrett Junction Shootout featuring   more...downhill luge, stand up skate board, inline speed skate and gravity bike racing held at Barrett Junction near San Diego Ca. Firestorms raged as gravity riders from around the world zipped on leathers, checked trucks and let it go at the IGSA sanctioned event organized by rider Frank Waterhouse who broke the course record on the closed stretch of highway not far from the Mexican border.
Xcorps host Bob Woodard opens the show from San Diego riding the Speed Skater street luge equipped with the new SkateBrake. Not bad for a first run Bob! Our cameras were as committed as all those who showed up at the event amid warnings that out of control firestorms burned on all sides. Lots of big smoke and fire shots here as well as a dedication to all the victims of the biggest fire in San Diego history.
Papa Roach and Lo-Tel pump the action with X and Gravity Games winners like Rat Sult and the ever-loved Kludy pushing 60mph down the hair pinned and cliff edged coarse which offered no room for error. See riders in their best speed tucks and a sick head over heels wipeout by gravity bike rider Noah Rutherford who lives to tell the Xcorps cameras all about it. Yes we slo-mo the magic moments for our viewing audience. Noah split the bikes rims and will recover.
Inline speedskaters Dave Lambert and downhill champ George Merkert talk about their realm of the event and invite other skaters to go for speed while Donald Orlando shows off his 84mm 6 wheel skates he got up to 58mph! Nice. After that Xcorps guest host and gravity champ Rat Sult talks to the fiercest female competitor in the league Stacy Allen from Oklahoma and asks her how she got into the sport. Music from the Rolling Stones and Dr. Dre back the piece.
After the break speed board legend Kludy talks to the camera about the effects of big winds on course speed. Frank Homemade Waterhouse wraps the shootout with his thoughts, more race action and some powerful shots taken from space of the fires that surrounded the event closing all exit roads. Many camped the night.
Bob Woodard takes another luge run and opens for Xcorps host Jason Lazo who is in Detroit hanging with the So Cal band NHOI-Never Heard Of It- who are playing Saint Andrews Hall in the rock city. Jason Lazo hosts this next Xcorps show, sponsored by PIPES CAFÉ and HAWAIIMANA NUTRITION, reporting from locations in Hawaii and California. Along with the California paddle boarders Jason talks to big wave tow in surfers Garrett McNamara and Keilli Mamala in Oahus North Shore. Great big wave video here featuring the two in action in Hawaii and Teahoopu Tahiti. Dont miss this action!
The Xcorps shot on the beach in Cardiff Reef Ca. included here some of the 100 paddle boarders who made the epic 32 mile journey from the island of Catalina to the California mainland. Jason talked with 3 top 20-seated athletes, George Plsek, Brian Szymanski and Tim Fischer about the challenges and triumphs of the event. A good look here of the actual paddleboards used by the participants along with great video footage shot by videographer Dan Dixon on his jet ski during the race.
Paddle boarding events began with Tom Blake back in 1928 who raced a 120-pound board the 32 miles from Catalina to the mainland in just under 6 hours. In the early 1950s surfboard shapers Dale Velzy, Greg Knoll and Hobie Alter introduced a new era to the sport staging the legendary races between California city and county lifeguards. Dangerous conditions cancel the Catalina race for 20 years before Gibby Gibson and Buddy Bohn revive it with a field of 10 paddlers in 1982. Buddy and Gibby have helped keep the sport alive from 1982-2006.
Qualifying for the Catalina Classic Marathon Paddleboard Race race is NOT easy with each participant having to do at least one other grueling long distance paddle beforehand.

From the start the show goes BIG with wild shots of tow in surfer Garrett McNamara outrunning locomotive waves at Jaws and Teahoopu Tahiti backed by tunes from MOWER. Hang on! The scenes are mellow here too with sweet Oahu island shots of rainbow framed beaches under the waving coconut palms. So Ono!
Jason introduces team HawaiiMana training on the shore and under the water! See their unique method of building strength and lung power using just a big rock! Great UW shots of turtles and fish in their element mixed with irie tunes from reggae Electric Avenue pop master Eddy Grant.
After the break Jason goes from SCUBA to outrigger canoe and then on to the North Shore of Oahu to hang at the Hawaiimana beach crib and some surfing by team members Alisha and Davey Boy Gonsalves, Jason Miller and Oleema Miller.
Then the X cams roll down the beach to V-LAND to catch rising NSSA surf champ Carissa Moore carving and rippin! Jason meets her on the beach for a little interview. She how she gets her training and hear her fun laugh! Then it’s back to Garrett towing into another massive thunder tube followed with a smooth exit rolling tight with another Eddy Grant tune- Reparation.
Jason samples some local flavor and crosses the island again to meet with open ocean stand up paddleboard master Aaron Napoleon who leads the Xcams offshore to the turbulent Molokai Channel for a look at this emerging challenging sport! It was a challenge getting these shots in the rolling big waves as Aaron paddled his 15-foot board up and down the deep blue victory at sea swells all captured for our viewers in HD!
Everyone onboard was hanging tight as Aaron paddled the huge water edited with a fresh new music video from San Diego band My American Heart. Nice fit! Jason talks with the HawaiiMana man back at the boat. See what he says about the ride!
The next segment rolls back to the shoreline to catch the voice of Hawaii fitness man Joe Teipel body surfing Sandys beach in style! Jason talks with the waterman about HawaiiMana and the island spirit of Aloha. Cool shots of the famous Halona blowhole going off here too!

Shot in the wild Hells Canyon area of western Idaho along the Oregon border this rugged scenic and powerful Xcorps episode features on camera   more...host Jason Lazo rocketing up class 4 rapids in a 600 HP custom jet-boat and catching a 9 foot 250 pound monster fish on a river called The Snake!
The wild clean outdoors fills the big screen in this show with the Xcams going wide to catch a gorge 2000 feet deeper than the Grand Canyon cut out by one of the longest and remote U.S. rivers all captured on HD tape for the XC viewer!
The show opens up with Jason near Whitebird Idaho-pop.150- dropping down to Pittsburg Landing in the Hells Canyon National Recreation area to meet with Eric Pardue from Killgore Adventures who provide jet boat river tours, hunting and fishing on the Snake and Salmon Rivers. This is wild outdoor adventures Xcorps style!
Jason takes off up river in a custom all aluminum Idaho made Bentz boat fitted with twin 350 V-8s that can handle the powerful big river whitewater with thrilling ease! It took our widest lenses to capture the spectacular scenery of the canyon and Jason did a great job of hosting from the rolling and pitching deck of the speeding boat named Moonshine as it powered up rapids with names like Wild Sheep and Granite Creek and Green Room! Music from SubNoiZe band Mower fits the action. Hang on! Great HD shots on board and looking down from riverside cliffs with not a building or sign of civilization to be seen. More cool music from Maverick Records artist Paul Oakenfold back the action with his song Time of Your Life! Nice.
After the break more shots from North Americas deepest river gorge paint the screen to music from Bible belt band Ha Ha Tonka c/o Bloodshot Records and RIVE with scenes from their band video -St.Nick on The Fourth in a Fervor- mixing it up with scenes of crystal streams, jagged peaks and raft runners heading downstream. After that it’s time to HOOK UP with some Idaho style fishing of the BIG STURGEON variety and Eric from Killgore Adventures knows just where to pull the boat over and cast the lines! Great UW Xcam shots here of swimming Steelhead showing off. Music from David Huber doing Haida sets the mood. Jason baits up a solid pound chunk of salmon belly on a barb-less hook and casts into a 70-foot deep hole in the river. As cameras rolled on cue he gets his Ugly Stick yanked and the reel starts screaming as the battle commences Ernest Hemingway XC style! The J man cranks and pulls hard for more than an hour with the fish leading the boat down 2 sets of raging rapids before finally giving up for a moment at the surface only to laugh showing its monstrous size and diving further working Jason into a full sweat! Fish band The Dorados throw out their song Hooked on Hookin Up for the good fit. Finally Jasons muscle wins out and the big fish is pulled ashore, and BIG it is! Eric calms the ocean size fish by flipping it upsidown before measuring it with a full size tape measure! At nine feet and 250 lbs the catch is considered a rare Snake River Hog! Before letting it go Jason talks with Eric about the Sturgeon fish, which is estimated at 100 plus years old! Stay tuned because after that it’s time to look at a new way to surf the river XC Idaho style with bungee powered skimboarding from Banshee Riverboards based in Boise Idaho. Again the Snake River delivers the fun by stretching out and loading up the giant rubber bands until the board clears the surface and takes off launching the rider upriver! See local riders rip N tear along with Laguna Beach Ca world-class skimmer Bill Bryan pulling smooth moves on the Snake! This is a new way to have fun on a river and you see it first on Xcorps!
