Apologies to viewers outside the Philippines as this video is mostly in Tagalog, with a smattering of English, without subtitles. I hope to have one with English subtitles in the future.

This is a video   more...that was supposed to have been presented at the Komiks Congress at the NCCA in Intramuros on February 27, 2007, on behalf of the younger generation of Filipino comic book writers and artists. But it wasn't. BUMMER!

The Komiks Congress has been organized by personalities of the older generation in the hopes of reviving the Philippine komiks industry. It has come to my realization that they may not be fully aware of us and our accomplishments in the past 15 years, the most important of which is the establishment a new burgeoning industry of comics in the Philippines in a time when the old industry was collapsing.

With this video I hope to give voice to the many of us in the younger generation by introducing ourselves, our work, our hopes and more importantly, our suggestions in the effort to continue reviving the industry.

Gerry (aka Komikero) actually didn't know I shot this clip while in Iloilo. He gave me some issues of his Elmer comic book he is working on when I met him in Manila at   more...the start of my holiday.

I thought it might be a good idea to make a short vid near this giant Chicken with a copy of Elmer... Then had a last minute idea to try turn it into a collab with Gerry himself.
