I was challenged today by a friend to make a lyrical dance video.. since I said that I felt that this type of dancing came more naturally to me. I guess I'll let you decide that.

Maybe I'm just feeling   more...particularly expressive at the moment....

Anyway I really enjoyed making this video... I should do some lyrical jazz classes again sometime... it's been about 4 years since I've done any!

Day 2 of my birthday weekend mini-break to Malaga, Spain. :) Today we made the most of the pleasant weather and took a day trip out to nearby beach town, Torremolinos.

We woke up this morning to find a ton of snow in our untouched back garden. We started making a snowman but as we got further into building we started sculpting out a copy of Kazzart!

Making an extremely last minute decision at about midnight on the
Friday night, Kazzart and Kwai Chi decided to go to Malaga on the
south coast of Spain for Kaz's 29th birthday. Promptly booking cheap
flights   more...and accomodation online, we departed VERY early the next
morning (after about 2 hrs sleep) and arrived in Malaga by 11am to
beautiful blue skies and sunshine.

This is day 1 of 3 very relaxing, chilled out days in Malaga.

There isn't very much to this vid really as we were too exhausted from
lack of sleep + the morning's adventures of nearly missing our flight
(will explain another time!) But I do love the sound of waves on the
beach..  less

A new piano composition I came up with on my new digital piano. Kinda a bit darker sounding, with a touch of "prog rock" influence. I can hear lots of heavy bass, distorted guitar and thrashing   more...drums. Rawk.

I also went a bit "arty" on the vid editing lol.

Yay a new hiphop dance class video. I really enjoyed class this week as I found the routine really clicked with me. My teacher also must have thought I did well coz he chose me at the end to perform it   more...in front of class! :)

Three weeks of dance class in one video! I've been pretty good this month with attending dance classes.. and I brought my camera along too. So.. enjoy. :)

Loooong overdue, this is a travel vlog taken during my birthday holiday trip to bella Firenze (beautiful Florence) in January. We spent 5 & 1/2 days there just soaking in the beauty of this wonderful   more...city of Italy. It's my favourite city in the world. Enjoy. :)

I really do love to dance. :) I'm not a professional, and I don't have any hopes to be a professional. I dance purely for enjoyment - but I will still seek to improve my dance skill by attending dance   more...class regularly and working out.

Part 1: My hiphop class - our regular teacher is back with an awesome routine. The steps were really quick and it was quite hard though short. I absolutely loved it. And I loved the song too ("Icebox" by Omarion).

Part 2: I couldn't get enough of dancing.. and I wanted to just dance all-out to the song. This is more my freestyle/expressive fusion of hiphop, jazz, a splash of latin and even contemporary? Just me dancing what I feel to the music. First and only take, with pretty much no editing (except at the very end).  less

Hey guys. Just a random update vlog to tell you all what's been going on in the life of Kazzart. Also a chance to show off my recently acquired brand new digital piano!

This video documents part of my journey from work to the college in London where I take my jazz improv classes. Tonight was my final jazz performance for the year. I think this was my best performance   more...out of the three we did over the past 9 months.

As band leader for this performance I chose and arranged this piece. There were a few stuff-ups with the drummer not being familiar with the arrangement (he wasn't at the practice so its understandable).

Anyway hope you guys enjoy the extra glimpse into London life (as requested ;)) and this final jazz performance.  less
