Insane Clown Posse is an American hip hop duo from Delray, Detroit. The group comprises Joseph more...Bruce and Joseph Utsler, who perform under the respective personas of the murderous, wicked clowns Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope. Insane Clown Posse performs a style of hardcore hip hop known as horrorcore and is known for its dark, violent lyrics and elaborate live performances. The duo has earned two platinum and three gold albums, but have been criticized for the violent content and perceived immature nature of their lyrics. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the entire catalog of the group has sold 6.5 million units in the United States and Canada.[1] Originally known as Inner City Posse, Bruce and Utsler changed the group's name when prompted by a vision in a dream resembling a traveling carnival. The dream also inspired the introduction of supernatural-and horror-themed lyrics. The duo founded the independent record label Psychopathic Records with Alex Abbiss as manager, and produced and starred in the feature film Big Money Hustlas. They formed their own wrestling federation, Juggalo Championship Wrestling, and later collaborated with many famous hip hop and rock musicians. The themes of Insane Clown Posse and other acts on Psychopathic Records center on the mythology of the Dark Carnival, which the duo claim is a spiritual force that has revealed a series of stories known as Joker's Cards. These stories each offer a specific lesson designed to change the "evil ways" of listeners before "the end consumes us all." Insane Clown Posse has a dedicated following, often referred to by the group as Juggalos and Juggalettes.James Lowery, also known as Anybody Killa, or ABK, is a hip hop artist of Native American descent. He is signed to Psychopathic Records Raised on the east side of Detroit, the son of a preacher, Lowery started making music at a young age, using anything he could find as instruments, and began writing his own songs at the age of 13.[3] By the age of 15, local kids would pay to watch him perform in his garage.[3] In 1995, he formed the group Krazy Klan with childhood friend Lavel, performing as Jaymo and J-ho, respectively.[3] After releasing two albums independently and performing at local clubs and parties, Krazy Klan broke up.[3] Seeking a solo career under the stage name "Native Funk," Lowery released his first solo album, Rain from the Sun.[1][3] After being introduced to rapper Chris Rouleau, known professionally as "Blaze Ya Dead Homie," Lowery adopted the stage name "Anybody Killa," and the two toured as the opening act for Insane Clown Posse and Twiztid.[3] Lowery signed to Psychopathic Records, and recorded his second album, Hatchet Warrior, released on April 8, 2003. It peaked at #4 on the Billboard Top Independent Albums chart, #42 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and #98 on the Billboard 200.[4] He released his third album, Dirty History, on July 27, 2004. It peaked at #7 on the Top Heatseekers chart, #10 on the Top Independent Albums, #53 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and #152 on the Billboard 200. Lowery also joined the groups Dark Lotus and Psychopathic Rydas, performing in the latter as "Sawed Off." Lowery and Rouleau also formed the group Drive-By.[3] The EP Road Fools, released on March 22, 2005, peaked at #23 on the Top Independent Albums chart.[6] In 2006, Lowery left Psychopathic, continuing to release albums and merchandise from his Native World label. In 2007, Lowery performed Main Stage at the Gathering of the Juggalos, and returned to Psychopathic Records the following year. less Tags: icp psychopathic records twiztid blaze abk juggalo concert Category: Music Views: 295 Comments: 0 Added: Nov 12, 08 By: DVLH333 | | | | | Concequence 2 04:32This is how my blog of Concequence kinda sounds. The Detroit territory was home to The Sheik, Abdullah the Butcher and Bobo Brazil, and featured long, bloody more...brawls. The Puerto Rico territory featured Carlos Colon, The Invader and Abdullah, and introduced fire as an element of violence. The Memphis territory featured Jerry Lawler, Terry Funk, Eddie Gilbert and Bill Dundee and introduced the empty arena match and fighting among the crowd into the concession stands, improvising attacks with whatever appliances could be found. More specialties such as Ladder matches, Scaffold matches and Dog Collar matches were introduced. The NWA eventually instituted a World Brass Knuckles Championship, which was active in the Tennessee territory from 1978 to 1980. A new gimmick, breaking wooden tables, was introduced to ECW through Terry Brunk (Sabu), nephew of The Sheik. Sabu had developed a gimmick of throwing himself through a propped-up table in Japan in order to entertain the crowd and get his character over as a wild and possibly insane man. He then started to put opponents through tables, a relatively safe spot which looked and sounded devastating. He brought it with him to ECW, where it became the focus of a feud involving multiple teams. When ECW booked the first Tables match (where the winning condition is a table spot), Sabu balked as he felt it was his personal trademark, no-showed the event and left the company for a few months. The table spot became a staple of ECW events, and has become so commonplace that it is now incorporated into otherwise non-hardcore matches in almost every promotion. In Japan, hardcore promotions sprang up around the country, including Wrestling International New Generations (W*ING, which turned into International Wrestling Association of Japan) and Big Japan Pro Wrestling. New elements included florescent light tubes, scattered thumb tacks, flaming ropes and live piranhas. ECW's popularity led to the major American promotions of the 90s, World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Federation, creating divisions devoted exclusively to 'hardcore' wrestling (which mostly amounted to no-disqualification weapons matches). The divisions were at first largely centered around ECW alumni such as Mick Foley, Terry Funk, Raven and Sandman. In the WWF, ladder matches, which had become more common, were now combined with tables and weapons matches to create "Tables, Ladders and Chairs" matches. less Tags: dvlh wrestling jcw wwe hhh cena byw tna czw independent juggalo ecw extreme Category: Sports Views: 470 Comments: 0 Added: Nov 7, 08 By: DVLH333 | | | | | Pitstain Hardcore wrestling spot DVLH Destruction in Door County) 00:20Hardcore wrestling is a form of professional wrestling that eschews traditional concepts of match rules in favor of matches that take place in unusual environments, using foreign objects that are not more...normally permitted. Although hardcore wrestling is a staple among some wrestling promotions, where they are used at the climaxes of feuds, some promotions (such as Big Japan Pro Wrestling and Combat Zone Wrestling) specialized in hardcore wrestling, with many matches performed in this manner. Terry Funk, Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, and Mick Foley are often seen as the "Kings of Hardcore." Hardcore wrestling became acknowledged as a major wrestling style first in Japan with promotions such as FMW and W*ING. It then became successful in America with Extreme Championship Wrestling. The World Wrestling Federation / Entertainment capitalizing on the success and introduced the WWF Hardcore Championship in the 1990s. The WWE soon began to turn the matches into comedy skits, illustrating the ridiculousness they involved. Hardcore is in sound contrast to traditional mat-based wrestling, where solid technical skills are preferred over stuntwork, blood, and sheer shock value. The term garbage wrestling is attributed to Japanese wrestler Giant Baba who used it originally to describe a style of wrestling which required little wrestling athletic ability and often involved no wrestling at all, which is rather common in much of hardcore wrestling. Some in the United States consider it a derogatory term. less Tags: jcw pitstain dvlh wrestling wrestler wwe cena hhh ecw juggalo czw Category: Extreme Views: 198 Comments: 0 Added: Nov 7, 08 By: DVLH333 | | |
