This is my June 1998 dance recital. I was in Teen Jazz and was 15 years old. The song is a heavily-edited version of Smashmouth's "Walkin' on the Sun." I have shoulder-length brown hair,   more...and am the second girl to enter the stage in that close-up shot at the beginning of the dance. I also brush my hair off my shoulder during one part.

I always think of this performance as one of my best (I think everyone has a favorite), and it was also my last year at the studio I attended from 1988 until 1998 - I switched dance studios in the fall.  less

This is my June 1994 Jazz performance to the Janet Jackson song "Funky Big Band." The costume is VERY early 1990s. I have really short hair (you can't really see my hair under that hat!) and   more...glasses. I was watching this video while I was copying it, and couldn't believe how tall I was - in fact, I'm pretty much that tall now, except Iwas tall for eleven years old. I was in 5th grade at the time.  less

This is my June 1996 dance recital. I was 13 years old and in Jazz 5. The song was Pat Benetar's "Promises in the Dark," which was a great song. My teacher said we were supposed to do either   more...Michael Jackson's "bad" or another Pat Benetar song "Love is a Battlefield," but she chose this one, and it was a great choice.

This is what I affectionately refer to as "the rope dance," and boy did we have fun this year - not just on stage with the ropes, but back stage, where we played rounds of Uno with one of the Ballet classes my Jazz class was roommates with that year. We had quite a competition going on during the times between our routine and finale!

I have dark brown hair and bangs in this show, and my hair is in a high ponytail - I'm the third person in the left line during the slow part. In the final pose, I'm in the group the camera gets a close-up first (I'm on the left - holding my rope and standing up).

By the way, there is a practically silent moment of this song where Pat Benetar yells "1 2 3 4" - you can't hear it, so my teacher had us do it instead - how cool is that?  less

This is the Jazz 1 team for my school, NHS. They aren't fantastic, but I still support my school, fo sho. Go Big Blue!

This is my June 1993 Jazz dance, to the Madonna song "White Heat." I was ten years old in fourth grade. I have tried to include a shot of what I look like, and though it is quite blurry, because   more...it is a motion shot I did on Windows Movie Maker, it is easier to ID me. Enjoy!  less

This is my June 1999 dance performance, when I was sixteen years old in tenth grade. The song is Chic's "Le Freak." I have long light brown hair tied up in a side ponytail, which I believed   more...had to be VERY seventies. This was my first year at the dance school I stayed at until I graduated high school in 2001.  less

This video is in two parts - the first part is the opening montage from that year's recital - I'm in the clip where the girls are shasaying out of the "house" - I have on a black and pink leotard   more...and have long brown hair (it's really quick!). The next part is that year's dance, which was to The Bangles' "Hazy Shade of Winter." The routine is from 1992, when I was nine years old.  less

This is one of my dances from my June 2000 dance recital. the song "Espionage," by Green Day (yes, it is an instrumental GD song) from the soundtrack for "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged   more...Me." I have light brown hair and bangs, and show up in a few close-up shots. I also started taking Ballet that year, and will be uploading that video as well.  less

This is my final Jazz number, from June 2001, when I was in 12th grade. The song is a remixed version of Whitney Houston's "So Emotional." It is pretty hard to see me, but I have brown hair   more...and bangs. In the beginning of the dance, I am on the ground all the way to the right.  less
