I reflect on the riding experience.

I swap bikes with Carl and try out his Honda VFR800 Interceptor. It's a V4 engine, and it's remarkably smooth. I was expecting something like a V-twin, except smoother, but it felt like an inline-4   more...engine. It was a lot smoother than my R1, yet it has a nice torque curve to it. I had met Carl when we were bidding on the same bike, and I didn't bid against him on it. It's a fantastic bike, with some nice mods all over it. When he bought the bike, it only had 2200 miles on it. I really like the Interceptor. I was looking into buying a red one a while back, and of course, Carl's black Interceptor. I was reading up on the bike, and I found some type of engine evolution page. I can't recall, but it went on to say that the Interceptor employed the V4 design. Anyways, I made a mistake in the 2 cylinders kicking in. I should have said 2 *valves* per cylinder are used for fuel economy, and above 6800 rpm, and additional 2 VTEC valves kick in for more power.  less
