My first few minutes with iMovie '08. AWESOME!!!
Except I can't find out how to split a clip......but I think it's a new paradigm and I have to "unlearn" my old ways of working

I put my nephew's birthday a few years back, into a compressed video of the day's events. I was using an old version of Apple's iMovie

the first movie i made with iMovie. back in 2002. iMovie 1.0 yet. used a pencam for the images.

On further investigation, iMovie '08 is a pile of dog poop in my opinion - no theming, no clip splitting, no timeline mode, no video effects, etc, etc - a complete step BACKWARDS

Why I only post in Live-Cam

The warblers were massing and getting ready to migrate north last week. They seemed to be everywhere so I thought I'd see if I could get some video of the little guys, then after editing I decided to   more...see if I could mix some guitar in as background using my 1969 Gurian Jumbo Rosewood. It was quite windy that day sothere was a lot of rustling leaves sound. I had a lot of fun putting it together on iMovie 6. Let me know what you think,

Sadly around mid summer 2007 Danny "The Tourettes Guy" had died from an accident and this is true, no joke check the website for the sad news, I made a tribute video for him and used cuts from   more...certain videos from the site, the music in the video is The Beatles Let it Be and an excerpt of "The End" from Abbey Road.
RIP Danny 1964 - 2007, you have made many people laugh and this is the same video I uploaded on YouTube but with the original stereo mixes of the songs, and not the custom mono mixes I used on the version on YouTube.

Sometimes local filmmakers approach me to do some animation or special effects on their projects. 'American Alien" is available for viewing online, or as a download, but there are some DVD's in   more...existence and I designed and animated the menus. That's me as the astronaut and the dancing alien.

The "Disney dust" transformations I did for the "conscience" in "Punk James" was supposed to be for a "remastered" DVD edition of that movie. The fate of that project is still undetermined, but you may recognize Robert Anderson from the "Filming the Flea Prople" documentary on my channel.

The THIRD movie(Title withheld) was a disatrous project that I wound up being cajoled into by a friend of a friend, and when the filmmaker heard I was an animator and effects guy, he wanted me to create an elaborate delusional confrontation between "God" and "Satan". For the weeks I worked on that project with NO pay whatsoever, The Director/writer/star decided to cut out most of my animation in favor of more closeups of himself in a self-indulgent exercise in cinematic narcissism that was already a paean to close-ups of the Director/writer/star. Anyway, MY edit of the scene, with all the animation intact, you will only see here. Also, as usual, I became the default voices of the two animated entities.

I was just playin’ around with my iMovie special effects, so here’s the result . . . the original video is some camcorder footage I took from my hotel balcony in Waikiki, Hawaii of a fireworks display   more...one night.

The song is “Revolution” by the Beatles, which brings back vivid memories of me havin’ to worry about bein’ drafted to fight in VietNam. The year I COULD have been drafted, my particular draft number came within five numbers of the final draft number called up for military duty that year.  less
