Hurricane Ike Hits Houston

This very short video of personal moments from Hurricane Ike, the storm that slammed Galveston and Houston in 2008. Linden Hudson shot this simple, short video of events as seen from his house. Nothing   more...spectacular here, it was dark when the storm rolled through Houston. Linden was without electricity for eleven days. He was lucky. Others were without electricity for a month. People in this neighborhood had to cook on their driveways for weeks on charcoal grills or camp burners. We see a "looters will be shot" sign on a house the next morning in this video. Interesting. But, things were actually very orderly in these parts after the storm. This was a hardcore storm.  less

Linden Hudson (Media Production Crew Member) took this video with his Canon Powershot while on assignment in Galveston 2 1/2 weeks after hurricane Ike. Big boats are on the highway.
