This is the Vocal Ensemble (Elite Choir) performance at a recent concert. My son is the tall one in the back row. Everyone in this choir is a sophmore or higher and had to audition and be selected for   more...the choir. There were about 70 kids who auditioned and these 19 made it. They travel around the state representing the High School at various music festivals and have won many awards and distinctions over the years. This was their first concert this year.  less

My favourite Zep album is actually Zep 3. Here's a slight reworking of a cut off that album. The boys fatten it up a bit with the Egyptian Ensemble and London Metropolitan Orchestra.

Angele is co-founder and first violinist in this all-female ensemble. I have been fortunate enough to see them live twice. They play with an intensity, precision and passion that I have rarely seen nor heard elsewhere. Their arrangements (mostly done by pianist/arranger Louise-Andre Baril) are also of particular interest for many of the more popular pieces they perform.

This particular piece, composed by François Dompierre, was written for La Pietà.

Although critically praised, I believe they may be the most under-appreciated gem in today's classical music industry. And having met Angele and some of the current performers, they are very gracious and kind as well!
