The magnificent CV Corsair at Duxford about ten years ago. It was reluctant to start - see my next videos. Great sights and sounds!

This was back in 1999, a nice sunny day to visit one of the best air museums in the world. Next clip will be the take-off. Love these planes!  less

Prepping the two-seat Spitfire at Duxford, odd way to tow a plane but it is a tail-dragger. Whenever you visit Duxford you get a 'free' airshow - one of the many airworthy planes there will be air-tested   more...or returning from an airshow etc. A good mix of old and new too.  less

This was a great day out of the kind you can only experience at Duxford - I was stooging around one of the hangars when they chose to move some of the warbirds around. Sad in a way tho coz the Jug is   more...no longer at Duxford.  less

Our trip to IWM Duxford nearly ten years ago - views of the airliners etc on the site where they blew up a hangar for the film 'Battle of Britain'.
Main part is the impromptu aerobatics of the noisy Harvard.

I was particularly pleased with this not so much for the video as the audio - the sound of the prop tips going Mach 1!

Duxford workshops and hangar with Tigercat II

P47, Lysander, P38 at Duxford filmed by me hence its raggedness. This is the kind of 'free' airshow you can sometimes get just visiting this 'living' museum.

Very good on the visuals but the narration is all over the place. Here we see some scenes form the Spitfire gathering at IWM Duxford and then an aerobatic routine at Biggin Hill with a Corsair. Interesting   more...contrast in sounds from a mix of Merlin and Griffon engines counterpointed by the PW radial of the Corsair.  less

Duxford's Rapide and arriving Yak (or is it a Sukhoi?) and Piston Provost - you can ghave a trip in the Rapide, in fact my mate did last month and said it was superb. My very first flight in a plane was   more...in a plane like this at Sywell in 1980.  less
