The Declaration of Independence states that, “…when a train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security”.  less

I believe that government is meant to play a small and supportive role in our economy. First, government needs to stop spending money on things that are not listed in our state constitution. Second,   more...government is to keep taxes as low as possible to promote economic prosperity by creating a business friendly environment. Lastly, government needs to always examine ways in which it can save money. Government is meant to be run as a business. As a business, we need to enact systematic audits of each agency so that waste and unproductive practices can be prevented or eliminated.  less
