It argues against the existence of God and the individuals in the group should make for some very interesting discussions.   more... How can science be so right about curing diseases and smashing the atom, but so wrong about the contents of a 2,000 year old compilation of mythology?

The title of this chapter one is "A Deeply Religious Non-Believer." Dawkins discusses an alternative notion of religion from a scientific perspective. I reference the following quote from   more...Einstein in the video, and it gives you a glimpse of the ideas being discussed.

"I am a deeply religious nonbeliever. This is a somewhat new kind of religion.

I have never imputed to Nature a purpose or a goal, or anything that could be understood as anthropomorphic. What I see in Nature is a magnificent structure that we can comprehend only very imperfectly, and that must fill a thinking person with a feeling of humility. He's launching a call to arms to fight religion in politics and schools

Richard Dawkins believes sciences ability to admit ignorance is one of its greatest strengths. On the flip side, he proposes that faith remains arrogant and all too certain of its validity without any   more...rational set of proofs.

As Ive been talkng to faithers over the past couple weeks Ive noticed something about deeply religious persons, they seem as if they're actually crazy, borderline brain dead. They dont seem to have the   more...ability to see outside the box of their religion. Well science may have tapped into the brain deep enough to actually show these people are crazy.  less
