This is my first serious Death Note AMV. Finally! XDDDD (it's been on my to-do list for a while - I came across the   more...song when I was trying to find MSI's Bite Your Rhymes for Near's theme song - and I thought it fit Misa quite well)

Short summary: Misa grows a brain. XDDDD (but her unconditional love is sweet)

There may have been better ways of conveying the intention of the video - in my mind - at least for this vid-, Misa fell in love with Light's good self - the one where he goes out of his way to do the moral thing, the same way he acted before he got corrupted through the endless killing, and the same way he acted when he lost his memory of the death note. In other words, I didn't really mean for the 'stranger' to be Ryuk, even though I used Ryuk to be symbolic of the Kira persona.

So Misa is in despair because the Light she loves, the good Light, is being dissolved more and more as Light's Kira persona is taking over.

Not exactly the storyline, but anyway. x3 Creative license.  less

If Misa was stupid she never would have been able to find   more...Light or trick Higuchi into confesssing. She's just completely outshined by Light and L, but come on, is it fair to say that I'm stupid based solely on the fact that Einstein is way smarter? I had to drastically change the plan of the AMV once I (a) found lyrics which   more...were more likely to be correct, and (b) found an interpretation of those lyrics.
(e.g. ~ one version said "Somebody wants my necktie" instead of what I think is more likely to be right ~ "Sucker be what, be magnetized")
So, to make this work, just imagine that "I'm gonna bite your rhymes" also means "I'm gonna get you".

The initial reason I picked this song for Near was the line "I'm the shit" (yes, that's right... I wanted a sassy song for Near, and this was perfect! XD)

This song actually is about stealing other people's lyrics. The lines in this song with "magnetized" and "kick my juice" are actually sending up Vanilla Ice's hit "Ice Ice Baby", with the line "Magnetized by the mic while I kick my juice".

Vanilla Ice randomly pops up in my life again! Woohoo! (regarding the "U Can't Touch L" video)
