Lost Kid © by CITADEL ® You sit and you stare out the window, you’re stoned again Looking for someone to show you your home again… …”just walk up to the policeman and tell him your name, you give him your address and you get no blame, you get to ride home and the sirens are on, there’s hands in a pocket that doesn’t let go – and you know You gotta get to the other side again!
You set and you stare out the window, you’re alone again Waiting for music to show your home again…
We think it’s time to blow open the door! Arrive with conclusions, we’ll need nothing more! One day in the meadow and all sirens are on, break out of that pocket that doesn’t let go –
And you know You’re gonna get to the other side again!

Alternate: Lost Kid © by CITADEL ® This song speaks to the trapped soul, with metaphors of what we're told to do if we get 'lost' as a child, we can see the relevancy in that wisdom even when we're not kids anymore. The main point is that getting to the other side isn't impossible - even when we are lost in life's struggles - some of us rely on good music to 'get to the other side again' less Tags: ciudadela ? citadelle zitadelle citadelmusic citadelsongs citadelband thecitadel music songs rock band cd dvd video audio whitman cynosure vintage vinyls star track sessions concerts mp3 Category: Music Views: 21 Comments: 0 Added: Sep 14, 07 By: Citadel | | | | | Dungeons Of War 169 CITADEL 174; 02:16DUNGEONS OF WAR ©G. Whitman (BMI) I have seen the faces of eyes that have turned to walk away, a trembling hand upon the hilt the skies of blue turn to a dismal grey Many feet in a foreign land many more...banners raised This I’ve seen, and shall see again, unless the faults of mankind are erased!
Away from the Dungeons (of War) where the fire falls like rain! And how many lives are spent in a mask of flaming pain? In need of a reason they shall stain the sinner’s sword With futile hopes of gaining a crown as the ‘just’ reward
(Lead – Chorus 1 Repeat)
Tears are shed over brothers lost half a man never feels the same The hands still clean of the men behind the scenes of satan’s games I have seen the faces of those who’ll never really walk away Empty Stares, a bleeding heart, and vengeance stored ‘till the final day
Away from the Dungeons (of War) where the innocent are slain! And how many lives are spent in a daze of placing blame? This is the season to make plowshares from our swords With future hopes of gaining peace as the ‘just’ reward
(Lead – Chorus 2 Repeat)

About: DUNGEONS OF WAR ©G. Whitman (BMI) This song is written from the perspective of the Earth looking on as we tiny, temporal beings blow each other up – and the land and animals too! Without taking a political side everyone can agree that war is a dungeon of pain and suffering, usually led by those behind the scenes who never get their own hands bloody…all for a crown, for the conquest…grown-up neighborhood bullies who take from others by force that which they cannot attain on their own merits… “Dungeons of War” also takes a few biblical lines into the discussion, “this is the season to make plowshares from our swords” and also fits into the “Citadel of Cynosure” storyline as the battle that forces the Dreemurz and Rezistors to make the ultimate choice when the Affrage invade their domain.
Sounds of This Song: War Intro with lonely violin-sounding guitar, classical march into main song verse, 12-string in 5/4. Then a pounding from the heavy rock chorus, thundering guitar solo and another chorus leads to the middle lead over the 12-string. 2nd verse/chorus/lead/chorus and then a snappy, choppy end - with the foley (sound effects) going throughout... less Tags: citadel concert citadelmusic citadelsongs citadelband thecitadel music songs rock band cd dvd video audio whitman cynosure antiwar mp3 citadelmetal antiwar Category: Music Views: 25 Comments: 0 Added: Jul 11, 07 By: Citadel | | | | | After the Third World War LIVE 169 CITADEL 174; 03:29About: After the Third World War © CITADEL ® From the CD "At The Rainbow's End" this songs shows the metal side of CITADEL® in a song that describes, in all the gory details, what more...life would be like after the third world war concludes with a nuclear stalemate -- not your typical anti-war warning, from the not-so-typical band - CITADEL®! Sounds of This Song: After the Third World War © CITADEL ® A slight departure for the typically prog-rock band CITADEL® Non stop crunch, growl and pounding guitars, bass, keys and drums. Odd-scaled lead break and haunting double harmony vocals. Metal/hard rock straight on warning about the dangers facing us in the nuclear race…
After the Third World War © CITADEL ® Lyrics and music by G. Whitman (BMI)
Fortunes gone and Legends passed Locked inside, your soul caresses emotions felt but not revealed Hearts are hungry but lips are sealed
Come look past the third world war Hear the screams behind the door Restless passion evermore sealed beneath with Freedom's roar Telling you what wrongs were done Showing you a covered sun
[Novelette excerpt: Antel’s dream then shifts to a giant cave. He is among thousands of faceless figures that are migrating towards a giant fire and feeding it with a pungent kindling.]
Mutants pass with eyes of fire Motions insist submerged desire Bearing flasks of decaying dead Traitors burned and Zalar fed
Slaves that kneal with involution Receiving charge of restitution Building what will be destroyed Chained to this forbidden void
Come look past the Third World War Hear the screams behind the door Restless passion evermore sealed beneath with Freedom's roar Telling you what wrongs were done Showing you the covered sun
[Novelette excerpt: The leaping flames blacken the cave walls and thick smoke billows through the caverns, then Antel's dream merges into a brown-red sky, bulging with clouds of fire over his homeland of Astai.]
Radiation takes it's toll on melted beings with brainwashed souls Ageless shapes seep from swampy fosse Remains of perfection forever lost
Come look past the Third World War Hear the screams behind the door Restless passion evermore sealed beneath with Freedom's roar Telling you what wrongs were done Showing you the covered sun

Winter's Dying © CITADEL ®
Winter's dying I can feel the cold though Songs are sighing Days and dream are hard to hold
Lost Dreams Lost Treasures Simple times of foolish pleasures Broken rhymes Scattered measures Stuck inside such dormant leisure
Lost Dreams Stolen Vision Falling over small decisions Careless words A deep incision Causing us to lose position
Winter's dying Knowing what we're told is true Spirit's flying high While melodies are bought and sold
New Dreams New Treasures End the times of foolish pleasure Open Minds Moral Measures Substitute complacent leisure
Spring Dreams Summer Visions Confident in all decisions Careful words Heal incisions Giving love a new position
A new position
