Nice cruise across the Ohau scenery ...

Shots from the top of Maui; Haleakala Crater, elevation 10,023 feet above sea level. Take in the views while a park ranger talks about how the early Polynesians arrived in the Hawaiian islands and divided   more...the land. Also at the top of this inactive volcano are the "Science City" observatories.

Plane crashes don't leave "Wile E. Coyote" wing imprints in the ground and faint tail impressions more... on the grass.

You can also see that none of the grass is burnt from the reported 5,500   more...gallons of fuel on board.

Lastly, notice that the amount of dirt displaced is the same amount that it would take to fill back in the crater even though a 75ton plane supposedly burrowed in there!

I never saw Diamond Head Crater this green before. It used to be free to go in. Now you have to pay. Sucks. My favorite part is the tunnel.

The Earth is constantly bombarded with objects from outer space, but most burn up in the atmosphere and never reach the planet's surface. Only one in a thousand rocks that that people claim are meteorites   more...turn out to be real, according to Jay Melosh, an expert on impact craters and professor of planetary science at the University of Arizona.

Melosh was skeptical at first, initially calling it a "non-meteorite" and suggesting that the crater might have possibly come from below as a volcanic eruption.
