When Kimberly breaks up with Tommy, Kat's initial feeling is to protect him-- yet not smother him. It is then that Tommy begins to fall for her.

As long as Kat was evil, it was only a matter of time before the rangers were defeated.

When Kat gets up the courage to dive again, she injures herself. This causes Kimberly to pull away even more from gymnastics, which was also affects her ranger duties.
