Love this song and the story behind it. The way I read it Young taught it to Furay when they first met in the early 60s. Then Furay taught it to Stills in New York. Then they went looking for Young in   more...Toronto but couldn't find him. In 1966 Young and Palmer were driving a black hearse with ontario plates in Los Angeles looking for Stills and were leaving town when they were spotted by Stills and Furay in a Hollywood traffic jam. They were going in opposite directions and Stills and Furay honked and yelled until Young noticed and turned around to meet up. And the rest is rock  less

This started out as a solo acoustic cover then I decided to overdub one vocal harmony. At one time I overdubbed some acoustic riffs in the background but never fel that sounded right. So this time I employed   more...my Gretsch 6120 plugged straight into the computer and I use the Bigsby tailpiece to get the vibrato.  less

This is a song I wrote in 1977 about an older me reflecting back on my youth and the good times we had centered around the music we listened to back then.

I'd like to dedicate this one to my two closest   more...bros in the world, my cousin Gartel and our mutual best friend Carmando. We all grew up together and misspent our wonderful youth. Laughing, loving, partying and having lots of fun. Carmando and I would jam on guitars a lot back then.

The photo is of me and Carmando circa 1976 (I think) and I remeber that we were sitting on a park bench with the Neil Young Zuma songbook learning those songs together. Come to think of it this song is really my tribute to those great songs of Neil Young. When I wrote this song I had been a Neil Young fan for only 3 years and I had no idea that his songs would still be a very important part of my life in music.

While the music style of this song is very Neil Young and reminiscent of the 70's I think the sentiment is timeless.  less

Just an experimental video! It has problems, but it is just an experiment. I started this video with something WAY different in mind. This is what just happened along. I am learning that camera angles   more...are VERY important! Now if I can only remember what I learned from this video for the next one!
