In casinos, dealers must follow so called house rules that do not allow them to make any personal decisions during the game. Normally, the dealer must hit if he has 16 points or less and stand if he has 17 or more. Some tables have Hit Soft 17 rule, which obliges the dealer to hit if he has 17 points composed of an ace plus six points. Whether the dealer hits or stands soft 17 is indicted at each particular table.  less
