The story of the Addu language
Unlike most of the islands of the Maldives Addu Atoll has its own language.A language totally different from the official language of the Maldives   more..."Dhivehi".For this reason those people whose mother tounge is dhivehi could not understand some of the words spoken by Adduans in their language.

The dialect spoken in this atoll (Addu bas) is quite different from the official form of the Dhivehi language.  less
