please understand the documentary (Earthlings) is EXTREMELY graphic and distressing or will be for some ... but out of respect i think it should be veiwed completely.... erm ... wot else to say? i personally am not going vegitarian becuase i dont think its wrong to eat meat ... i do think its wrong to be so disgusting about the killing and so disrespectful i am really cutting down my meat products atleast while this is fresh in my mind and Archie (my dog) has got alot of extra love  less

In 2006, PETA openly monitored Ringling's traveling units. The footage shows some of the cruelty that we documented, including the fact that elephants with stiff joints and chronic lameness were kept   more...on the road and aggressive use of the bullhook. One scene depicts a Ringling trainer inflicting a bloody bullhook wound behind the left ear of an elephant. The elephant responds with a series of squeals. A bullhook resembles a fireplace poker and has a sharp steel hook and point.  less
