FUNNY CONTINENTAL AIRLINES COMMERCIAL

I've noticed when I fly into San Diego, that the approach to the airport requires planes to fly in just over the tops of many, many buildings on the downward slope of a hill in the flight path, so here's   more...how it looks from various views on the ground. It's fun watchin' pedestrians stop in their tracks as the planes unexpectedly skim by low over their heads! I was ALSO going to film from the top of one of the high rise parking structures in the flight path, but the people running the parking garage said that customers aren't allowed to stand on the top floor, because the pilots don't want any extra distractions as they glide over the buildings on their approach to the runway!, and OH! . . . the sounds of the planes in this video are set at only 74% of the actual jet volume (so you can still hear the song lyrics during the flyovers), so there's a lot of NOISE when the planes fly over too!, makin' it a VERY visceral, entertaining experience! LOL

The song is "Watching Airplanes" by Gary Allan, which was suggested by one of my longtime friends.

American Eagle Airlines reports it will relocate 233 pilot jobs from Boston to New York as part of its cost-cutting efforts. Boston will no longer be a base for the regional American Airlines affiliate.   more...The jobs will move between November 2nd and the end of the year. Eagle pilots will still fly regional jets between Boston and New York, Raleigh, and Toronto; and American will still have 382 mainline pilots based in Boston to fly larger planes. For our New Year's trip to the Big Island, our family flew go! (a subsidiary of Mesa Air Group of Phoenix, Ariz.), which operates four Bombardier CRJ-200ER jets for its interisland service. With ticket   more...prices as low as $19, go! has been aggressively battling Hawaii's two incumbent, locally-grown carriers, Hawaiian Airlines and Aloha Airlines. All five of us traveled for what it would've cost for just two of us three years ago. The jets are smaller and the frills non-existent (they charge you for juice), but they get you there, and that's what matters. Our kids, especially, loved boarding from the tarmac.
