The North Atlantic island nation is also restricting the types of positions   more...that can be offered to workers from outside Europe. David Metcalf of the Migration Advisory council explained the new restrictions to BBC Radio. Quote: “In order for the employer to hire somebody from outside Europe, they have got to meet three hurdles. First of all, the job has got to be skilled, secondly it's got to be in shortage and third it's got to be sensible to bring the person in." Under the new rules, non-European doctors are barred from working in hospitals except as consultants in specific fields of medicine. In education, only math and science teachers will be accepted. Governor Lee Fisher claims, “Supporting long-time Ohio companies as well as up-and-coming business owners is crucial to furthering economic development for these communities, as well as our state.” General Aluminum Manufacturing Company (GMAC) leads the group of loan recipients in expected job creation by hoping to create 200 positions within the first three years of its more than $6.4 million project. Boxicom, Inc., which does business as 3X Systems received a $1.35 million investment and is expected to create 45 jobs and Ohio Basic Minerals hopes to create 30 new full-time jobs with its $5.2 million project.
