Many residents in Pennsylvania’s Allegheny County should he happy to hear that 300 new jobs will be opening up in their area. The Germany-based company, Flagbeg, just announced its plan to open its   more...first U.S. solar mirror production facility.

According to Pennsylvania’s Governor, Edward Rendell, the state invested $9 million dollars in the project, in the hopes of securing its lead in clean energy development. So far, Pennsylvania already accommodates the clean energy companies Gamesa, Iberdroa, and Conegry.


Flabeg’s plan is to manufacture parabolic solar mirrors, so they can use them at major solar plants to produce electricity.



This project is scheduled to be completed in two phases and is going to be underway this fall. In total, projected cost of this project is $30 million.
