A worn beauty, jewish Colette constantly struggles to suppress a festering rage over the loss of her son and homeland to the hands   more...of the German invaders. Clinging to the past, she treats her house like a museum, keeping everything in place and trying to separate herself from the conflict beyond her home. However, when the grief become too much to bear, Colette often overcooks, an act reminding her of the domestic life she has lost and the only available outlet for the anger inside her.  less

The stooges run a small restaurant, and must come up with some quick money to pay off a pie dealer who's wares they ruined. They enter Curly in a milking contest at the county fair, but his technique   more...leaves something to be desired, and he quickly falls behind the champ. Moe and try to help by putting on a cow suit and pouring milk from a concealed bottle, but when their cheating is exposed, they must leave on the run.  less

Most of the victims of World War II in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, died when 16 American bombers flying out of Germany destroyed much of the inner city and the area around the train station. The airmen   more...had been under orders to bombard industrial targets within Nazi Germany. By official account, the bombing was a mistake.

floating underneath the seaweed that hides from darkened skies
the ocean of memories tears through the sky that takes me away
markings of death ring through my ears as the blood   more...flows into the air
the soldiers march through the valley of fire and flames
hitting the walls and getting trapped in the barb wire
marching on as they die one by one
exploding into pieces while brave and scared as death takes them away
the bombs scatter and the fire calms but the ringing never surrenders
the beaches of Normandy, June 6th, 1944
the beaches that were left red
the men that fought and gave their blood to a world
will remain in my mind until i float amongst the fishes in the vastness of the deep blue sea  less
