Starting out as a most young teens in the early 90's Blake was inspired and directed into music by Seattle's swarm of super successes like Nirvana and Pearl Jam. At the top of this list of great mentors is the 60's songwriting icon Bob Dylan. Followed by artists such as Neil Young, Lou Reed, David Bowie, Tom Petty and more recent successes REM, Elliott Smith, Lou Barlow and Beck.
Blake Ian has recieved acclaim for his latest album Alchemist which is now available at major online retailers and is currently becoming available at all digital download stores.. The Album is an homage to what Blake described in an interview as "A book that saved my life".. .
