T. Don Hutto was formerly a prison for hardened criminals. It is now being   more...used to house immigrants who are seeking political asylum. There are more than 400 people in Hutto, including children ages 5 months and up.

These people have not broken any laws. Many are escaping persecution in their country of origin.

A short video showing how one town in Scotland took part in the UN International Day for Peace 2007(and the World Council of Churches World Day of Prayer for Peace). There was a Clooty Tree at one of   more...the Churches where people were invited to hang a ribbon symbolising their prayer or wish for peace in the world.
The book 'Scotland's Covenant for Peace' was inside for folk to sign. Alisdair Gray, author of "Lanark", helped design the book. Copies are available to sign all over Scotland.  less
