April 22, 2006 - my Senior Recital at West Chester University... I had to produce and present an hour's worth of music... It was a lot of fun, and there were a couple awesome performances by my friends   more...that night (whom I am forever grateful for!!) All work is ©Michael J Weaver unless otherwise noted... this was the 8th and final piece of the show... I offer no explanation, take it for what it is... the fun part about this is that at the end I had everyone who was involved in the recital come back for one more refrain of the piece/curtain call... that's a lot of people!! April 22, 2006 - my Senior Recital at West Chester University... I had to produce and present an more... more... hour's worth of music... It was a lot of fun, and there were a couple awesome performances   more...by my friends that night (whom I am forever grateful for!!)... This was the 5th piece of the recital, a short interlude inserted to facilitate the set change on stage. Obviously not my own composition, but arranged by myself for boomwhackers. This is 'Los Habeneros' from the opera 'Carmen' by Bizet. Performed by the West Chester University Boomwhacker Choir, an impromptu ensemble that was formed for this performance! (and disbanded shortly after!)  less

The 2nd piece of the program was my 'Fugal Suite for Double Reeds' performed by the Almost Alliteration Quartet... so named because their names have the initials HH, MM, SS.... and JK. This piece is based on the traditional suite movements (Allemande, Sarabande, Courante, Gigue.. look it up, it's good stuff!) to which I gave a little twist by adding a fugue between each movement. There's a lot of counterpoint goodness going on there! I would love to have the opportunity to have this recorded some time professionally (and with a bit more rehearsak time... and with a working contrabassoon!)  less

Have you ever seen the hit blockbuster Aliens then watched Alien 3 right after it? Yeah, if you didn't have a taste of   more...bile in your mouth then just play Alien 3 for the NES.

Its another LJN movie franchise they decided hadn't been defecated on enough so they made a game out of it.  less
