We cruise out at Waikiki just after sunset, hang around for 5 minutes, and I continue the story of the television sets.

A stop is made at the only gas station in Waikiki. We wait for everyone to gather and regroup. We have a slow start due to traffic, but what do you expect? That's Waikiki for you.

I didn't know there was a Maritime Museum here in Waikiki. I'm also checking out an early model Buell Lightning. Tons of torque.

I was checking out some bicycle grips for the motorcycle at my former employer (Island Triathalon & Bike), and I came across Charles & his son, both riding Ducatis. Nice.

We make our way out of Waikiki, see some fireworks, and plan to head to towards Mililani Tech Park. I finish off the story of the television sets. Let's hope this drama ends here!

This is where it starts to get really fun. We see some nice slow wheelies as we cruise down Kalakaua Ave in Waikiki. My clicker makes its debut in this video. Everybody loves it! hehehe

I try to leave Waikiki as soon as I could. I get flagged by a police man for my license plate being at an improper angle.

I finally met the owner of the Ninja motorcycle that I park next to everyday. I found out that I actually rode that motorcycle and I almost purchased it 4 months ago.

Me and Sammy cruise down to Waikiki to see if any bikers want to go riding with us. Nobody's to be found. Oh well. We end up doing our own night riding. I end up humming the tune to Apocalypse Pony.   more... There's Pestilence Pony, Famine Pony, War Pony, and Death Pony. Yay!  less

I took this video footage at Waikiki, Oahu, Hawaii in the predawn hours when there are almost no other people at the beach . . . a REALLY special, tranquil time of day that most people rarely ever experience. Diamondhead is in the background.

The HPU (Hawaii Pacific University) Computing Club and Project Management Club met at the American Legion's Waikiki facility. I got invited to have a BBQ lunch with them. I was also asked to speak to   more...the club. I met some amazing people with some fantastic anecdotes. I certainly got a lot out of it.  less

I find out that the gang is hanging out at this new corner in Waikiki to pass the time. To my surprise, I encounter my old bike!

We start our way out of the Waikiki gas station, and head to PCI. It's a great night time ride, and we have a good sized crowd.

It's a Saturday night, and I'm meeting up for a late evening ride. The traffic in Waikiki was unbearable. As it turned out, there was a fight on the street, and that basically halted all traffic.

I get left behind. I forgot to get my keys before putting on my gloves... and that's how it happened.

A little more in the skin cancer bit.... for the young grasshopper out there.

I make a short mention of the problem of givers (as opposed to takers). There are those that give, give, and give. They give too much, and many givers do what they do to gain approval.

Hey Johnno, don't get bummed out. You're still the pilot, and life is still good. You're not stuck - you're just on a layover, waiting for the next flight. Cheer up!

Here's video footage I took of a nice sunset on a recent trip to Hawaii. The song is "The Water is Wide" by the amazingly talented Eva Cassidy . . . I guess I might be like most people, but   more...whenever I sit and watch a sunset, I think about the day just ending . . . realize that this day is now gone from my life forever . . . I reflect upon where things are at in my life . . . and I say "Goodbye" to that day, and look forward to the next :)  less

The song is “Revolution” by the Beatles, which brings back vivid memories of me havin’ to worry about bein’ drafted to fight in VietNam. The year I COULD have been drafted, my particular draft number came within five numbers of the final draft number called up for military duty that year.  less
