World-wide, we will soon be without any veterans of The Great War, and those of WWII are also decreasing in number. This mournful lament from Gordon Lightfoot has always brought to my mind the soldiers   more...of WW1 -- so far away, not knowing where or when the end will come, and longing for home. This one is for all of our veterans. A special “thank you” goes to my good friend in the Netherlands who provided many of these photos from his own collection.

wow...i guess it's true. I got an email from a friend about the shooting and i thought it was a horrible joke...but this really happened. my condolescenes
