Loki talks about his vet visit. Update: Loki's lump picked this week after two months of growth to turn from hard to squishy after the initial diagnosis by the vet, so after disinfecting his fur and shaving   more...part of his leg and performing some kidney and liver tests and sticking a needle in the lumpy part and<i>scaring us half to death</i> they called and offered the option to postpone the surgery for a week to try antibiotics first. We chose to give him the antibiotics because there's no reason to put someone under and cut them open if it might turn out there's no reason to put someone under and cut them open.

So he has some more blood tests to go through and more fasting and a humiliating round of medications, but we're keeping our hopes up that the initial diagnosis was off.

I take Josey to the vet, and ramble a bit about the program that helped me pay for the surgery. At the end is a clip from the day after, with Josey relaxing in my arms as I update you on her progress.

The good news is you won't have to listen to me whine about her anymore. Thanks for putting up with me y'all.

Sam the Black Cat goes to the University for another post cancer/chemo check: hopefully the last one for a while. Hurray!! If she appears apprehensive, it's because she knows where she's going; Sam   more...and Mama do take rides to other places (PetsMart, the park, friends' houses), but Sam knows these extra long rides tend to end at that place where strange people handle her and poke her!

Sam relaxes on the way home, lounging on her feather pillow and supervising the driver from the back window. I didn't realize while filming but Sam was hunting for her pillow under our coats!
