In 1979, some friends and I were messing around with a video camera in a slum area of town that had largely burned down and never been rebuilt.

The video camera was old,   more...with a heavy, over the shouder separate deck, obsolete even then. We saw some stuff flying around the buildings. At first we thought they were kites or maybe some radio controlled toy planes. We never did figure out what they were, but we got some of the stuff on video. It appeared as if there were two things, one smaller than the other. They moved pretty fast, so we guessed they were light, like balloons. They would fly away, then come back, for about a half hour.

The tapes and camera ended up forgotten in a pile of junk in the basement.

I just dug out the tapes, which are disintegrating. Unfortunately, I can't get the audio to work, so the weird noise can't be heard. The old deck functions just well enough to watch a few inches at a time of the tape. After playing a few seconds, the heads have to be cleaned, and the tape has snapped in a few places. I'm transferring what survives to digital format, and posting it here for anyone who's interested in this sort of thing.  less

WOW!! Southampton ufos?? Thats where i`m from!! My own spectacular sighting happened in the New Forest(10mins from this sighting), Between Holmsley camp site and Burley, this is exactly what we saw only   more...we were directly under two of these objects, and they were extremely low!!. The other slight difference to this is the objects passed in a straight line until they just blinkered out. Blinkered out was more our opinion, we watched them for about 40seconds before they dissapeared!! So pleased this was captured on film. I wish we had been lucky enough to do the same!!  less

Out of this world ufo footage IMHO. I truly believe that these types of sightings are deffinately not kites/balloons/balloon arches/parachutes, but are something not of our comprehension from another   more...dimension or planet.  less

The Brazilian Roswell

The events took place in 1977 on an Amazonian island that the producers have dubbed Brazil’s Roswell. Over a period of months in that year, a sequence of events occurred that some   more...have said led, twenty years later, to the apparent suicide (some call it murder) of Brazilian army captain, Uyrangê Hollanda. He was found by his daughter, hanging from his bed, asphyxiated by a tie wrapped around his neck.

Emidio Campos Oliveira was settling down to sleep on a warm night in October. Suddenly, a bright light penetrated the roof of his house and burned his thigh before vanishing as quickly as it had appeared.

Several days later, Orivaldo Malaquias Pinheiro was net fishing on the beach with a friend. A bright light began approaching them from the sea and, afraid, they ran. On telling others about their experience, it became clear that dozens of people had witnessed something similar, with some saying that they had been chased and attacked by the lights.

And the eye-witness accounts go on and on. Something definitely seemed to have happened in Brazil in 1977 but it appears the more we learn, the more questions are raised.  less
