Congressman Tim Ryan has a few things to say about Bush Foreign

Finally, someone saying what I have wanted to say in front   more...of a group
like that for ages. This President and his administration have
said "Believe Me" far too many times, and it is never true.
Great Speech. He's only telling the truth.
I am so proud to be an American tonight. Tim Ryan simply rules, we
already know this; and this speech did not disappoint a little bit.
I'd love to see Tim Ryan as president. Maybe one of these days! I'd
sure as hell work for him. He's fantastic.
That's what a debate against those bastards is all about, people.
Call 'em what they are, and call out their deeds for what they are.
We need more combativeness like this in the Democratic Party.

Not saying it's fair, but you got a young good looking guy who's a
powerful speaker saying the stuff vs. Kucinich, who I agree with you,
people take for granted. Style and image counts for something.
I don't hear too many people around here actually moaning about
Kucinich, but I do think that they don't give him enough respect.

I got an email about this story. Beautiful story of a couple that have
the honor have having deer migrate through their yard. Some people
have all the luck!

Ok sorry, the text SUCKS! LOL Here is what it   more...said..
Our house was built in the deer's natural habitat in a remote rural area. Well worn deer trails cut through the property's abundant pine and sage. The oldest deer we've met (we call her Mama Rose) walked right up to us when we first arrived, sniffing and looking us over. We live in the middle of their foraging route, and so it seems okay to sometimes give them a few organic almonds out of our hands.
That's what we had on us when we first met Mama Rose, and the habit's stuck. Rose and her kin obviously think the yard belongs to them as much as anyone else, and they are just taking advantage of the wealth of natural foods growing everywhere. They especially like clover flowers, but it's amazing to see the variety of tasty flowers, leaves, twigs, nuts and berries they'll eat. They stay away from herbs and herbal flowers, but on occasion we've seen young deer eating the sweet medicinal berries of the Juniper tree.
Food is of course a major concern, but we also think they visit because they like our company. Often we see deer we don't know nibbling in the yard, but nearly every day some or many of Rose's extended family come by. All of the deer are likely to lay down on the grass and hang out, whether we know them well or not. Many of them know us personally, and while often running into the yard to greet us with their quiet enthusiasm, they will also swiftly shy away from strangers.
Although notoriously skittish, able to leap meters in the air in an instant when startled, a few deer we know, most notably Eva and her kids, will let us touch them as if we were family, letting us scratch them or pick something out of their fur. Eva even enjoys a hearty backrub! We've certainly learned a lot about how to act around them so as not to disturb them. We think they appreciate our efforts in fitting into their neighborhood.  less

With a wispy moustache and long, lank hair, it was a different David Hicks who just faced US military court in Guantanámo Bay, Cuba. No longer the clean-cut young man smiling   more...familiarly out of old family snaps – and no longer protesting his innocence.

"Yes sir," said Hicks, as he pleaded guilty to a sole charge of materially supporting terrorism as part of a deal that is expected to see him transferred to an Australian prison after more than five years in Guantanámo Bay.

Why did David Hicks, by pleading guilty, avoid having the charge tested in the military tribunal?

Is he, as his father suggests, buying a ticket home to evade an unjust system and the prospect of being held in Guantanámo until his fifties? His lawyers have long claimed he would never get a fair trial. "How do you get David Hicks convicted of a crime when he never violated any law? You make up an unfair system and you create crimes after the fact," his military attorney Major Michael Mori tells Four Corners.

Hicks’s detractors counter with a simpler reason: that he is in fact guilty. "You don’t go to an al Qaeda terrorist training camp unless you want to become a terrorist," says Brigadier-General Thomas Hemingway, a key adviser in the military commission system.

Four Corners looks at Hicks’s guilty plea and the reasons behind it. What admissions has he made to investigators at Guantanámo? What psychological and physical treatment was he subjected to before he made those admissions? What were his chances of a fair hearing in the military commission?

Reporter Debbie Whitmont delves into evidence which, as a result of the guilty plea, will now never be tested in court. She explores Hicks’s first account of his activities, comparing it to the charge against him to which he has pleaded guilty. Key moments from a five hour interview during Hicks’s early detention at Guantanámo in 2002 are re-enacted word for word, providing a fascinating insight into his responses then and his guilty plea now.
