"My Immortal" is the third single from rock band Evanescence's major label debut album,   more..."Fallen". Due to popularity at concerts, a new version of the song was recorded and released to radio. At the 47th Annual Grammy Awards the song was nominated in the Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group category.
The video for "My Immortal" was shot in Barcelona (the fountain in the video is a tourist stop for many fans) and played in black-and-white. Throughout the video, Lee is never seen touching the ground. When asked about this by an observant fan, she replied that it is because she is a ghost.  less

It was designed as a "Peace Wave Generator" that uses the energy   more...of music to broadcast peace waves throughout the world and works by making people smile and laugh.

Ramblin Dan, from New York, traveled the world with his music machine to raise money for children's projects. I encountered them on a sunday-afternoon walk in Bern, Switzerland, while traveling through Europe.

Excluding charges for job cuts and merger costs, Verizon earned 66 cents per share, matching the average estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters. They were expecting $24.52 billion in revenue. Chief Executive Ivan Seidenberg said business was holding up well despite the economic turmoil, but said it would have an effect in the current quarter. "For the Christmas season, consumer spending will be somewhat lighter, and business spending will be somewhat curtailed," he said. The new forecast indicates fourth-quarter earnings of 62 cents per share, falling below the 65 cents per share analysts are expecting. Investors, however, found Verizon's results reassuring, sending shares up $2.53, or 10.1 percent, to end at $27.61.  less
