Okay, not really. I heard this song ( having been in love with the soundtrack of the musical ever since my parents gave to me as   more...a present many, many centuries ago...) again recently and to me, it screamed: MAIKO!!
Dark, evil, twisted Maiko, the way only Maiko can be*.
The story is simple to those who don't really know the context of the song.
Mai is in love with Zuko - in fact they're betrothed, have been since childhood. But by now Zuko is falling in love with Katara and Mai isn't too happy. So in this song she gives him a choice: he can have Katara (and lose out on riches he will gain through the marriage) or he can have her... if he kills Katara.
Will he? Won't he?
I'm thinking of doing a follow up to this with another song from the musical *Torn Apart* from Zuko's POV - but I want to wait until I might get Song Vegas as there's this one particular effect I want to use...
