Pokemon Lucario and The Mystery Of Mew

CLANNAD is easily the most anticipated show of the season for me because of all the great things I’ve heard about the original game coupled with Kyoto’s Animation’s record of beautifully animated and   more...faithful adaptations. Having such a talented cast too - including Nakahara Mai, Kanda Akemi, Kuwashima Houko, Nonaka Ai, Inoue Kikuko, and Noto Mamiko - is just icing on the cake. I’ve been trying my best not to read up on the story before seeing this, so all I’ll say about it here is that it starts with a troubled delinquent whose life changes when he meets the main heroine.  less

On a visit to a kingdom   more...near Kanto, Ash inadvertently releases a Lucario that had been sealed away by a hero of legend. At around the same time, a Mew kidnaps Pikachu and Meowth and brings them to a haven known as the Tree of Beginning that is set up to prevent humans from entering at all costs. Ash enlists the help of Lucario to retrieve Pikachu while discovering just what the hero's intentions were.

This film is widely considered to be the best Pokemon movie ever.

This is the original uncut Japanese version of the eighth Pokemon movie. It is presented in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1.

My own thoughts: As mentioned before, this is the favorite among Pokemon movies so far. This has the best story out of all the Pokemon movies, but I just didn't like this as much as Pokemon movie 5. But it is visually gorgeous, has excellent voice acting (that's a first lol) and an excellent musical score, top-notch animation, and incredible animation cinematography. There are some shots inside the Tree of Beginning that really blew me away. Definitely one of the best Pokemon movies to date, and this will be hard to top.  less
