My idea is this: If every capable adult person was to rescue at least one stray cat, then maybe, just maybe, the problem of cat overpopulation would disappear!

For example, in the United States there   more...are about 300,000,000 people, 200,000,000 of which are able-bodied adults. If there's roughly 200,000,000 stray cats in the US, then all we have to do is rescue or adopt just one cat per person! Just a thought.

Adopting your pet cat from a shelter, rescue organization or taking it off the streets yourself is the single best thing you can do to help the stray cat problem. And, having that cat spayed or neutered is the single most important thing you can do for your cat and for our global community.

The stray cat population in the U.S. is estimated to be approx. 70 to 100 million. Uncared for, homeless cats lead lonely, miserable lives. 95% of kittens adopted by people in the U.S. are the direct   more...offspring of stray and feral cats. Visit any animal shelter and you will see the tragic consequences of cat overpopulation. These are just some of the hundreds of kittens and cats my friends and I have rescued over the last 5 years. We ALL can make a difference in the life of a homeless cat.
