Study of Caravaggio's St Jerome in pencil set to Violent Femmes Kiss Off

St. Marks Church was constructed in 1840. Thirty years later, the BEAUTIFUL 141 foot tall spire shown in this video was added to the church, as a memorial to Mary, the only daughter of Canon A.H. Bridges.   more... Sadly, the CHURCH was demolished around 1988, to make way for a huge, and, in my opinion as a retired professional architect, “less than attractive” office building, leaving only the spire as a reminder of the beautiful structure which one stood at this site for so many years.
