The 'Thunder Run' at the 26th annual Parry Sound Sportbike Rally, July 5th, 2008.
I gave my camera to my sister-in-law to shoot some footage of the run.
There were approximately 312 bikes on the Run through   more...the town of Parry Sound, with many more bikes parked along the route watching.  less

Stormy Weather on Thursday 27th November 2008. I was out filming the lightening and that, when i heard an 'electricity sound' race through the air...i actually felt it too.... too hard to explain really,   more...then straight after i heard that sound...the thunder crack struck. It sounded really close that it struck. It also shook the ground .  less

(dammit)... no lightning!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the camera and then get the window open in time to catch the really spectacularly loud peal of thunder. However, at the very beginning, you can hear the low rumble   more...of the second (and last) peal of thunder.

I have been hoping for YEARS to catch this on video. Sorry it isn't better...

It sounds like it is raining but after checking with someone who was outside at the time, I found it wasn't. It was just the wind in the trees and some very heavy flakes that made it sound like rain.

Moments later, the snow started coming down thicker and faster.  less
