The second installment in the series. This one (in my opinion) is better then #1. This episode sees Sakura training Ryu right after he won a tournament when suddenly a mysterious portal opens up. Meanwhile   more...on the other side of the portal Liu Kang gets ready to battle Scorpion. Ryu decides to go through it, Sakura tries to stop him by telling him she loves him, but he promises to come back right after. The HRP2 "Promet" is a general purpose, humanoid, robot assistant designed to help in construction and research.

Looks like it can give ASIMO a run for its money.

The Roomba by iRobot seems to have some competition.

Yujin Robot company has created iClebo, an automated house cleaning robot vacuum.

I'm not sure how this one compares to the Roomba, but this is an impressive   more...product demo.

The good folks at Ratron ( http://www.raytron.co.jp ) have created Chapit, the entertainment and automation robot for home use.
It's just a proof of concept at this point, but they may start shipping in   more...2008.
Cost is estimated at 200,000 Yen.

The robot can interface with your house appliances and connect to the internet.

The child's voice might be a bit eeire for some people, but does well in clarity.
You may notice some slowness in response at first. It has a 100 word recognition range, but it can be extended to 10,000.

The nBot is a balancing robot built by David P. Anderson from simple parts.
It does a fairly good job of keeping itself upright against gravity and a few pokes from its creator.

Ever wanted a balancing scooter just like the Segway, but didn't have the $5k+ to dish out for it?
Well, Trevor Blackwell decided to build his own from off the shelf parts.
Granted, it doesn't have the safeguards of the original Segway or the stamina, and battery life, but quite a home project nonetheless.
