Makoto thinks it ridiculous, but he changes the image on his cell phone to a picture of Kotonoha anyway. However, Saionji Sekai, a classmate next to him, happens to see the picture. That’s how his faint hope is ruined on the first day. To apologize to him, Sekai offers to fix him up with Kotonoha…

Since that day, his tedious life begins to change…
